Interview

Interview experiences about great company culture* Passing an interview is a true Russian roulette.

Great company culture is a sarcasm.

Electronic Arts
  • Unreal HR

  • Unreal manager

  • Lack of growth and progression

Decision:

  1. Great place to work

  2. A lor of swag and gift

  3. A lot of bonuses and gisft

  4. Apex Legend Dev badge and other cool season to season stuff

I miss EA but had to leave to get some progression and learn new things.

Hewlett Packard Enterprise
  • Questions about my nationality

  • Questions about how much I earn now

  • young, ignorant, ratty, unprofessional, ignorant HR

  • human factor

  • subjectivity

  • total unprofessionalism

  • non-job, non-behavior, non-person related questions

  • bias opinion

  • labeling

  • brainwash

  • Different mentality

  • you can feel the dislike towards you from the HR in the face, manner of speech and body language

Wonder how that guy even got there.

I would refuse offer since HR is the face of the company culture but got ghosted and promise to update about the next stage never happened.

Seems to be a great culture workplace.

Decision:

  1. lacking hr

PermanentTSB

  • HR never responded to any follow-up email

  • I liked the team

  • Different mentality

After interview call from HR with a promise that will let know the next stage never happened.

  • Amazing HR, I wish that companies before would have HR like Garry

  • Arrogant Senior on the interview, one of the 3. Other 2 are cool.

  • Joking weird ass jokes

  • Being sarcastic, passively abusive

  • Insecure ass motherfucker

    • typical insecure senior being afraid of his workplace, sad true story of any team

  • Interrupting all the time

  • Not giving to finish sentence

  • I would refuse offer

    • Don't want to team with lacking like that weirdo

    • How people like that one even get to the company and become seniors is a worse quiz for me than cicada 331 that I've solved, except last part

  • Different mentality

I wanted to stop the interview, because tired to be disrespected and interrupted but decided to stay for the experience.

HR communicated well and updated that not this time. To be honest I felt sad about this, still the majority of guys were awesome and I really like them. Lacking like that senior are in each company, not sure why management keeps them rats. Probably asslicking, if not job done.

I kind of felt like that's exactly the place where I would extremely grow.

Decision:

  1. Amazing HR

  2. amazing team

  3. lacking senior

  4. no remote

  • Truly great HR

  • Great people who I had chance to meet

  • I did not get the team lead joke about break times - "depends on how you work" in combination wit his base line

    • face expressions

    • body language

    • tone

    • behavior

  • Wanted to stop the interview at that stage, since it felt akward

  • He did not like that I ask many questions that are important for me

  • Inpatient

  • labeling

  • After that response as a signal of lack of respect to employees I would refuse the offer

  • Different mentality

  • Talks a lot about how great the culture is, might be truly opposite

Did not receive the offer stating that I don't have SOC experience, maybe that was why I applied for SOC 1 role?

I understand and accept the reason but consider this as a mistake. Things that I had been not exposed to before were learned by me on the fly.

Decision:

  1. Definitely a great place to be if you are lucky with your team lead and teammates
